Chomps
is a very special cat with an unforgettable personality. It is
impossible not to fall in love with his childlike innocence and quirky
demeanor. Though he may be a bit shy at first, it doesn’t take long for
him to warm up to you with his affections and puppy-like devotion. He
is a cuddly and mellow cat that loves to eat and sleep. And while he is
not extremely athletic, he loves to initiate play fights with his
brother Dexter or play by himself with his
toys, batting them around
and carrying them in his mouth. His favorite toys include foil balls
and toys with string, fur, or feathers. He and Dexter also love laser
pointers and chasing you around the house.
He is usually pretty quiet but will talk when he
gets excited or
hungry. The noises he makes will melt your heart, as Chomps does not
have any ordinary meow; it is more like a sweet-sounding “ow”.
Sometimes a whisper, a soft chirp, or a double “ow-ow” sound, it is
always a treat to hear Chomps speak.
He loves the warmth of heaters and sunshine, so
you
will often find him
lounging in sunny spots near windows or in front of the heater. He also
enjoys sleeping with you on the bed if you let him, snuggling up next
to you or on you if you let him.
Chomps must be adopted with Dexter, as they are
very close and take care
of each other. The pair will make a wonderful addition to a relatively
quiet home. They have not had any experience with small children, and
though they have tolerated dogs, it is best for them to go to home
without dogs or small children. Although they are very affectionate and
love petting and belly rubs, they are low-maintenance and do not demand
attention. They are pretty independent and will be fine if left alone
together during the work day.
It may take a bit of time for Chomps and Dexter to
adjust to their new
home, but as long as they have each other they will settle right in.
Chomps is an Indoor Only cat.
Chomps
is
vaccinated, microchipped, and has
tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia.
