This all-around great dog is getting to know what kindness feels like,
probably for the first time in his life. Although he is still a bit hand-shy (perhaps
the result of mistreatment), this sweet boy LOVES people. When sitting in the grass
together with his companion, Bouncy will sidle up and lean into you, so that he
can be as close to you as possible. (Sweet boy!) Bouncy so wants to please people,
and will do his absolute best to accomplish this end. He is a wonderful companion
to spend time with, for he vigilantly takes his cues from his human as to pace, direction, and energy level.
Bouncy also does great on a leash, never pulling, and heeding his walker's directives to move along past
other dogs, even though Bouncy’s interest always seems amiable, never aggressive.
Bouncy does especially well with female dogs (although not so well with cats), so a home
where there is another dog is definitely a possibility for this most lovable dog.
Bouncy has been taking part in pack walks on a regular basis with local trainer. She reports: "What's interesting is that
it seems the farther away we are from the shelter-
the more outgoing he is. When I take him up in the hills ( with
usually an 8 dog pack)- he has the time of his life - keeping stride
with everyone, going up and down the Canyon Hills. He has made good
friends with Ty and Trudy especially.
When I take him nearby the shelter- like the bulb or marina- and
usually with other shelter dogs, like Chiona, Angie or Shadow- he
still sometimes tries to turn around.
He loves riding in the truck with all the dogs, he makes himself
comfortable on the big blanket in the back, or sometimes he sits up
front with me. He gets alot of love and attention when we pause in the shade.
he really is a sweet sweet boy, and I love having him with us."
Yes, he is gaining a confidence and lightness that we had not before seen in
Bouncy. Indeed, it is a sheer delight to see a dog emerge so beautifully from a
less buoyant demeanor to a much more outgoing one. Now, all he needs is his forever home so he truly understand
how good life can be!
Please consider giving this pooch a home. We're beginning to note signs of kennel stress and we want to
get him into a home before it's too late
