Hi! My name is Celery! Yes, it's a silly name, but fitting for such the silly dog that I am. I'm currently accepting applications for a best friend and forever home. See, what I really want is nothing more than to be by your side; taking long walks at the park; an evening snuggle, resting my oh-so-cute chin on your knee; belly rubs and ear scratches... sigh.

Ok, details! So, my foster mom thinks I'm super special and that I should tell you about all about myself, so here goes: I'm a Pit Bull mix around 1-1/2 to 2 years old and weigh in at a sleek 55 lbs. But don't let those nasty rumors about Bullies scare you away! Mean I am not! Gentle and loyal are my strengths. I was rescued from the shelter and at first I was kinda shy, because the larger world is a bit new and exciting to me. I can be a little cautious at first, but I'm great around people once I can give them a good sniff. Other dogs are a joy to play with and I'm even pretty good around cats. Really, I just want to sniff them more than they'd prefer, but I've never snapped or snarled. Kids, I'm not real sure about children yet as I don't currently live with any, but I've never shown the urge to do more than a touch of smelling. I'm pretty cool around them and my only concern about kids is my weight and occasional exuberance, so older kids may be better, although I'll trust your judgment.

I have a moderate amount of energy and enjoy my daily walks. Don’t worry, I won't demand a marathon out of you. I like slouching around, too. The training is coming along well and I know my 'sit' 'stay', 'come', 'crate', and 'potty' commands pretty good. A bit of reassurance by my human when we're out in public helps me know my commands better when I'm a little distracted by all the wonderful sights and sounds. Crate tutoring has been working well and I sleep the night without worry. A variety of collar/leash combos have made me decide on the 'Gentle Leader' as my choice of walking implements. It makes me feel secure and confident in my mom's alpha dog abilities, which makes us both happy on walks.

Oh, I almost forgot: I'm super house-trained! Yep, I do the wiggle-sniff dance to let mom know it's potty time. The vet says I'm a happy, healthy mutt. My mom made sure to have me spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped.

Now, the last thing that needs to be done is for me to learn about you! Send along your stats so we can get acquainted and start our new life together. I'm ready, how about you?!?
